HOW CAN I CHANGE THE GENDER OF MY PROFILE?

Accidents happen. But don’t worry, this particular one is easy to fix. You just need to delete your account and start again.

Here’s what you have to do:

  1. Access under Account "Settings" section by clicking on your profile picture at the top right of bozmie.com page.
  2. Click the link at the bottom of the page marked "Delete account".
  3. Confirm your request by clicking "Delete profile permanently ".

We’ll deactivate your profile, and it will disappear within 24 hours. After that, you can use your original email address to create a new profile.

If you’ve already taken out a subscription on your old account, we’ll be happy to transfer any balance to your new one. Once you’ve created your new profile, contact Customer Care with the following details.

  • the email address linked to your old account and the one you’re using for your new account (if they are different),
  • your new customer number, which you can find in "My account settings".

As soon as your new profile is up and running, you’ll be one step closer to finding someone special!

WHY AM I GETTING A MESSAGE SAYING MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS ALREADY IN USE?

An email address can only be linked to one Bozmie account. If you have an existing profile, you'll need to delete it before you can create a new one. Here’s how:

First, log in to the account you want to close. If you can’t remember the password, set a new one by going to: ‘Login’, followed by "Forgot your login details?" on the homepage.

Once you’re logged in:

  1. Access Account "Settings" by clicking your profile picture at the top right of any Bozmie page.
  2. Click the "Delete your account" link at the bottom of the page.
  3. Finally, "Delete profile permanently".

Your profile will disappear from Bozmie within 24 hours. Then you can use the email address to create a new profile and you’re back in the game. Have fun!

WHAT CAN I DO IF SOMEONE ELSE IS USING MY EMAIL ADDRESS?

If your email address is linked to a Bozmie account you don’t know about, there are two possibilities: either you signed up in your sleep or (more likely), someone entered your address in error. No problem: it’s easy to fix. Just send us an email from the email address in question at: support@bozmie.com

If you have an old Bozmie account you want us to delete, please follow these steps:

  1. First, log in to the account you want to close. If you can’t remember the password, set a new one by going to: ‘Login’, followed by "Forgot your login details?" on the homepage.

DO WOMEN HAVE TO PAY TO USE THE WEBSITE?

This is the 21st century and we believe in equality - so both men and women require a subscription to make the most of Bozmie. However, there is a FREE plan for anyone that doesn't want to use the extra features.

HOW CAN I RECOVER MY EMAIL ADDRESS AND PASSWORD?

It’s easy to forget a password. But don’t worry: it’s just as easy to sort out a new one. Click ‘login’ then ‘forgot your password?’. Enter the email address linked to your Bozmie account and click OK. We’ll send you an email to reset your password.

If you don’t see an email from us in your inbox within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

If you've forgotten your email address, get in touch with our Customer Care team who will be glad to help.

HOW CAN I UPLOAD A PHOTO ?

Say cheese! Photos are one of the best ways to get noticed on Bozmie. So once you have a photo you like, it’s easy to get it published and seen by singles.

When you’re choosing your photo, remember it’s the first thing anyone will see about you on Bozmie - so give it your best shot and let your natural beauty shine through. Try natural light, make sure you’re smiling and have your face in the frame - but not too close up! Don’t be afraid to ask your friends what they think of your picture before you upload it.

Here’s how to upload your photo:

Go to ‘My Profile’ by clicking the image at the top right of any Bozmie page. Then click ‘add photo’ and follow the simple instructions.

Your photo will appear immediately but subject to moderation. We’ll send you a confirmation email when it’s ready - and you’ll be ready to get more attention from interesting singles!

WHY AM I GETTING A MESSAGE TO SAY THAT MY LOGIN INFORMATION IS INCORRECT?

Oops! You can’t log into Bozmie. It’s easy to make mistakes, so make sure you’re entering the right email and password.

If you still can’t log in, you can change your password by clicking ‘login’ then ‘forgot your password?’, and we’ll send you a reset link by email.

If you don’t see an email from us in your inbox within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If it still doesn’t arrive, contact Customer Care. They’ll be happy to help sort it out.

I'VE JUST CREATED MY ACCOUNT. WHY CAN'T I ACCESS MY PROFILE?

Oh no! You can’t log into your shiny new Bozmie account! Don’t worry - we’ll sort it out for you.

As soon as you registered, we sent you an email asking you to confirm your email and activate your account. First, check you have received that mail – and if you can’t find it, look in your spam folder.

If you can’t see it, there are two explanations; either you haven’t yet completed the registration process, or you made a mistake in your email address. Either way, please start again.

If you still can’t log in, check your email inbox and spam folder for a message saying your profile has been closed. If it has, follow the instructions in the mail.

If you can’t sort it out yourself, please contact Customer Care. They’ll be happy to help.

THE LOGIN INFORMATION RECOVERY LINK DOESN'T WORK, WHAT CAN I DO?

It can take a few minutes for the email to arrive, so don’t panic immediately. Don’t forget to check your spam folder in case the email is there.

If you still can’t find it, try again. Be careful to enter your email address correctly – it’s easy to make a mistake. Make sure that you see the on-screen confirmation "An email has just been sent to your email address..." and you’ll be good to go.

SOMEONE I DON'T KNOW HAS USED MY LOGIN INFORMATION. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you think someone else knows your login information, you need to act as quickly as possible.

The first thing you need to do is try to log into your account using your regular username and password.

If you can still log in:

Change your password immediately so the baddies can’t get in. Just click on your profile picture at the top right of any Bozmie page, click ‘Settings’, and then insert a new password and hit save. Finally, log out of Bozmie on every device you use. We also recommend you change the password for your email.

If you can no longer log in:

If you can’t log into your account, we’ll close it down for you and transfer your details and any subscriptions to a new one.

First, create a new profile using a different email address. Once your new profile is up and running, contact Bozmie customer care. You’ll need the Username from your old account and your new customer number (find it in ‘My account settings’). We’ll close your old account, transfer your subscription to the new one and you’ll be good to go.

How to help stop it happening again

We’re all about security, but here are some ways you can help keep your account secure.

  • Choose a stronger password. Make it longer, with a mixture of small and capital letters, numbers and special characters.
  • Always log out of Bozmie if you access your account from a shared computer.
  • Never share or forward Bozmie email alerts with anyone else.

MY PROFILE HAS BEEN CLOSED DUE TO MY AGE, YET I AM OVER 18. WHAT CAN I DO?

Bozmie is only available to people over 18 - and we have to close accounts opened by people who appear to be younger than that.

If we’ve closed your account in error, we’re sorry. But think of it as a compliment for your youthful appearance!

If this has happened to you. Please contact Customer Care and they’ll get everything sorted out. You’ll need to show them something that proves your age, like your passport or driving license.

HOW CAN I APPEAL AGAINST THE CLOSURE OF MY PROFILE?

We want Bozmzie to be a safe, fun place for everyone, which is why every Bozmie profile has to comply with our Rules and Code of Conduct. If it doesn’t, our moderation team may close it.

HOW MUCH DOES A SUBSCRIPTION COST?

However you want to use Bozmie, there’s a subscription option and upgrade to help you search for love the way you want. Just click the ‘Membership’ link on account page to see what’s available and choose the right package for you.

WHICH FEATURES ARE AVAILABLE FREE OF CHARGE?

Free registration offers you a glimpse of the numerous features available on Bozmie. You can create your profile and access your daily selections and search free of charge so that you can check out other profiles.

You can also chat as much as you'd like with singles who have chosen the premium upgrade but cannot transact over the website.

WHAT IS STEALTH MODE?

Stealth also lets you browse Bozmie in secret, viewing as many profiles as you want without the members knowing you’ve been. And of course, if you like what you see you can send a message, a chat request or add a single to your Likes.

You won't appear in the search results either but members you have interacted with previously will be able to see you in their messages and lists. 

WHAT NAME WILL APPEAR ON MY BANK STATEMENTS?

When you pay by bank account or credit card, your payments will be listed as Bozmie Inc. 

You can pay either by using our online payment gateways - Stripe or Paypal, or you can choose to make a direct transfer to our account stated as offline payment details. 

You can pay:

  • using your MasterCard, VISA, VISA Electron or American Express card.
  • via PayPal. Just click on the PayPal logo. You can either log in or create a PayPal account in just a few clicks.
  • Pay via your bank account or bank wire into any of our bank details

WHY HAS MY PAYMENT BEEN REFUSED?

First, double check you have entered all your card details correctly – it’s easy to make a mistake on the long number especially.

If your payment still won’t go through, it is possible your bank has refused it, or that your card is not on the list of payment methods accepted by Match: VISA, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal.

If you don't know why your payment has not been accepted, please try again using another card. If you still have problems, try calling our Customer Care team and they’ll help you find a solution.

HOW DO I WITHDRAW MY FUNDS?

You’ve received funds from other site users and had liked to make a withdrawal.  Login into your account:

  • Go to my account
  • Request for withdrawal and insert the code
  • Funds will be transferred to you by admin

 

HOW DO I WITHDRAW MY COINS FROM VIDEO CHAT?

To withdraw your earned coins on Video chats

  • Log into your account
  • Navigate to My Account on your dashboard
  • Click on the Menu button "Chat List"
  • Click on request "withdrawal"

HOW SOON AFTER PAYING CAN I USE THE PAID SERVICES?

Immediately! After all, why should you have to wait? Just make sure you've seen confirmation that your payment was successful on your screen.

If it's not working, please first log out and back in to your account. If you’re out of luck, contact our Customer Care team and we’ll do our best to find out what’s happened.

HOW CAN I SET WHICH EMAILS AND NOTIFICATIONS I WISH TO RECEIVE?

Bozmie makes it easy to manage your email notifications.

Log into the site and head for the “Account settings” section and click on notifications. Just tick or untick the alerts according to your preferences, and you’re done!

WHAT IS SERVICE PROVIDER BADGE?

Ready to start something real?

* At least 70% of your profile completed is the following criteria: Age, height, marital status, type of relationship you want, nationality, children/if you want children, body type, smoker/non-smoker, education.

WHY IS MY PHOTO NOT ACCEPTED?

Bozmie is about finding love and having fun, and our moderators check every photo to make sure every profile is in that spirit. Some photos can't be published, and here's why:

  • The image is low quality and the content is unclear.
  • The photo contains confidential information which could be used to identify you outside of Bozmie (phone number, email address, road name, vehicle registration plate, etc.).
  • The photo is of a commercial nature.

In addition, we won't publish:

  • photos showing children,
  • photos which are indecent or violent.

Don't worry if your photo hasn't been accepted. Simply upload another one, making sure it meets the criteria above.

HOW DOES “PEOPLE NEAR ME” WORK?

This feature puts you in touch with a whole new set of people: it isn’t based on where people live, but you’ll instead find people who were physically nearby in the past 24 hours. You can also use the “Filter” button to change the age of the profiles shown.

CAN I GIVE MY CONTACT DETAILS TO OTHER MEMBERS?

Of course! If someone is giving you all the feels and you want to meet up, it’s time to swap phone numbers and email addresses.

Just don’t share your personal details too early on, and never let yourself be pressured into giving personal information to anyone you don’t know and trust: if someone asks for your details straight away, politely decline. If they’re interested, they’ll know you’re worth the wait.

HOW DO I REPORT AN INAPPROPRIATE OR SUSPICIOUS EMAIL TO THE MODERATION TEAM?

At  Bozmie, we think dating should always be fun. And if it isn’t, we want to help. If any Bozmie message makes you feel uncomfortable or annoyed, report it straight away: it’s easy.

Just click the three dots at the top of the message and then ‘Report this person’. All reports are, of course, confidential – they won’t know the report came from you.

You can also report a profile. Click on the three dots to the right and then ‘Report this profile’. Again, this is just between us. We won’t be able to tell you what action we take for confidentiality reasons, but we are committed to acting fairly and promptly to protect our singles.

WHY HAS ONE OF MY MESSAGES DISAPPEARED?

There are three main reasons why you can’t see a message on our site:

  1. They have deleted or suspended their profile. Never mind - there are plenty more fish in the sea!
  2. You have blocked them, or they have blocked you
  3. Your safety is our top priority, and it’s possible we have deleted their profile because they broke our rules. If this has happened, we’ll display a message to let you know.

When an account is suspended or deleted, the member’s username disappears from all your lists, and all their messages, views, Likes will no longer appear.

HOW DO I HIDE OR BLACKLIST A MEMBER?

Although there isn't a way to hide singles, you can blacklist someone and stop them contacting you in the following ways:

  • when viewing that member’s profile
  • when reading one of their messages

 
In both cases, click the "three dot" button at the top-right of the page, followed by "Blacklist this member".

HOW DO I UN-BLACKLIST A MEMBER?

Oops! If you blocked someone by mistake or you want to remove them from your blocked list, it’s easy to unblock them:

  • Go to 'Menu settings'.
  • On the left-hand side of the page, under 'People', click on 'My blacklist'
  • Click on the profile and click the three dots to open
  • Click on the 'Remove from blacklist' button

WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE ON THE SITE?

The singles on Bozmie are mostly people looking to have fun as they look for someone special. But like any online environment, it pays to stay safe.

Our ‘Advice’ section has lots of information and tips, but here are a few golden rules:

  • Don’t give out personal data on your profile, and don’t share it too quickly
  • Don’t agree to meet in person until you’re ready, and make sure your first date is somewhere public
  • If you meet someone you’re interested in, take things at your own pace. Never be pressured into doing something or revealing something that makes you uncomfortable
  • Always remember that someone you meet online might not be who they say they are.

Our Moderation team is ready to intervene if anything a single says or does makes you uncomfortable, and have the power to permanently remove anyone from Bozmie if necessary. They act completely confidentially, so anything you report is just between you and them.

You can contact the moderators by clicking ‘Report this profile' on any profile or in the messaging window.

But remember - bad experiences are few and far between on Bozmie - We are here to back you up and hope you have a lot of fun as you search for that special someone!

HOW CAN I CONTACT THE MODERATION TEAM?

If you see or receive something on Bozmie you think we ought to know about, don’t hesitate to let our moderators know: they’re here to keep you safe and happy.

You can make a report by selecting ‘Report" on the profile. Just click the three-dots at the top-right of a profile or conversation window. We’ll get right on it.

If someone's behaviour goes against our code of conduct, our moderators will take the appropriate measures. Whatever it takes to keep Bozmie fun and safe for everyone

HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT THE PROFILES ON THE SITE ARE GENUINE?

Our moderation team work hard to ensure that Bozmie is a safe and friendly place to visit. Every paid membership profile and photo are checked by the team to make sure they’re real.

Another good tip is that profiles which are complete and regularly updated usually belong to someone serious about finding love. After all, why would you go on a date with someone who doesn’t make an effort?

If you ever think a profile doesn’t look right, it’s easy to report it to the moderators. Just click on the 'Report this profile' link which can be found at the foot of every profile and follow the instructions. All reports (and the actions we take) are entirely confidential.
